It was surprising to receive an email last evening featuring a news article from a 1963 edition of the Bundaberg News Mail reporting on the Head of the River rowing regatta.

School Captain Noah
Our grandson Noah Coulson was elected by the students of Burnett State College to be one of the School Captains for 2026. The presentation ceremony was held on Tuesday 24th of February and we were pleased to support him at the function.
On the Trike again
On the 11th of December last, the rear axle of my trike broke while out riding. Fortunately it broke where it did because in another minute I would have been travelling down a hill at around 35kph. I phoned my neighbour Dan who has a ute. He came and picked the trike and me up.

Lily’s 21st
Lily’s 21st birthday was on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She had a celebration with her Newcastle friends on that evening but came to Sydney on the weekend to 7/8 February to celebrate with her family. Trip to Sydney
We went to Sydney for Lily’s 21st birthday celebrations. Her birthday was actually a couple of days earlier and she had some celebrations with her friends in Newcastle.
The function in Sydney was mostly to do with her family and their partners. This journal is just about the actual trip. The function at the SANG will be the feature to the next journal.
