Brighton is one of the up marked suburbs to the west of Adelaide, on the beach at Holdfast Bay. It is clearly a very popular place especially for those wanting to either walk, run or ride their bike. There is a jetty which reaches out into the bay for quite a distance. Not sure why the jetty was build because if does not look like it was designed to load goods on to ships.

Grace, Jason, Lorraine and I had a good walk along the shoreline with plenty of other people. It is clearly a well patronised public facility. The weather was unusually cool when we arrived at around 11am but by the time we left the cloud had gone and the sun was doing its thing.

When we arrived at the jetty, there was clearly the remains of a demonstration of some kind. Not sure by whom it was organised but the signs and the PA system were still in evidence.

We have seen the results of this lady’s work (below) at other times we have been here but never seen her working. It seemed quite amazing to me that she could draw well dimensioned circles of various sizes. She must have had plenty of practise. We stood and watched her work for a while. One can assume that when the tide comes in, all her work will be gone.
