Christmas approaches and it is time for Grandma to make some rocky road. Not sure how this stuff may have gotten the name “rocky road” but that is not important because it tasts really good. And it is no wonder that it tastes good because, as you will see it is completely made of sweet stuff, including a whole big bag of Cadbury’s milk chocolate. So this is how it happens as observed by someone who is a sweet-a-holic but not much into the vaguries of kitchen work.
First one had to collect the ingerdients which look like this:

Grandma mixed all of the ingredients except the chocolate in a bowl and they awaited their turn to be mixed with the chocolate. The chocolate is melted in the microwave for a few minutes but you don’t do the whole couple of minutes in one go. That would be a good way to burn the chocolate and we can’t waste chocolate so foolishly. So she put it in for thirty seconds, took it out and stirred it and continued in that manner until the chocolate was suitably melted.

Just about all mixed up and ready to be loaded into the tin and then put in the fridge to settle down.

A couple of hours in the fridge and it will be ready to be cut up.

I have to admit that I had several pieces of rocky road immediately it was cut, probably more than I should have, and will have a couple more pieces after tea tonight.
